Editorial transparency
FTC disclosure
Material-connection disclosure under 16 CFR Part 255.
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) require publishers to disclose material connections to the products and services they review. Below is Reconstitution Review's full disclosure.
Affiliate relationships
Some outbound links from Reconstitution Review articles may be affiliate links — meaning if a reader clicks the link and later purchases from the linked vendor, the publication may receive a small commission at no additional cost to the reader. When this is the case, the article either:
- Includes the standard disclosure: "This article contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you purchase via these links — at no cost to you."
- Labels the specific link with the
(aff)suffix immediately after the link text.
Affiliate revenue does not change the editorial recommendation. The editor can decline to use an affiliate link entirely if the recommendation does not warrant it.
Ownership relationships
Reconstitution Review is an independent publication. Some articles include outbound links to vendors. Where a vendor is owned or operated by parties affiliated with Reconstitution Review, the article will state so explicitly before any product mention. When an article mentions a vendor that Reconstitution Review or its parent ownership has any equity interest in, the article displays a highlighted notice at the top of the article — never buried in a footer — that states: "Disclosure: Reconstitution Review's ownership has a financial interest in [Vendor]. This relationship was disclosed before publication. Editorial coverage compares [Vendor] to at least two alternatives and uses identical evaluation criteria for every supplier."
Free samples and review units
For review articles, Reconstitution Reviewmay request a complimentary sample vial from a vendor — typically a single 10 mL unit. Acceptance of a sample does not guarantee a positive review, and any sample-receipt is disclosed in the article's opening paragraph.
Sponsored content
Reconstitution Review does not currently publish sponsored content, sponsored listicles, or pay-for-placement articles. If this policy ever changes, any sponsored piece will carry a clear SPONSORED tag at the top of the headline and a separate disclosure block above the article body.
